HR Important Guidelines
Exit Permits
As per Qatar National Immigration policy, all faculty and staff holding a valid Residence Permit are required to obtain an Exit Permit in order to leave Qatar for any amount of time. All faculty and staff must obtain a document (exit permit) stating that the school has no objection to you leaving the country. Staff leaving the country permanently are expected to clear all pending or unresolved financial matters. Staff leaving the country temporarily will automatically get the exit permit unless they have contracted a loan – in which case they are expected to find a guarantor to sign for their financial commitment. Steps to Apply for an Exit Permit: 1. Fill and sign the clearance form and Exit Permit form at least 10 days before your departure. 2. Submit the completed form to the Administration Department. ***IMPORTANT: Forms must be submitted at least 10 days prior to travel date to allow for time to process your request . |
No Objection Letter
Governmental and Diplomatic agencies require a "No Objection Letter" for various procedures under-gone by Qatar residents. Faculty and staff will need a "No Objection Letter" when: 1. requesting to apply for a liquor license 2. requesting to apply for a driving license 3. requesting to apply for a visit visa to Qatar for a family member 4. requesting to apply for a visit visa to a country (other than Qatar and your country of origin) 5. requesting to apply for a bank loan – Standard letter (subject to management approval) etc... |
Important additional HR related guidelines:
RP Renewal: Please make sure to submit your RP for renewal at least 15 days before you leave on holiday if the RP expires during your holiday. Please allow at least 2 weeks for renewal. New Passport: Please inform the Admin Department if you have a new passport. A copy of the new passport will be needed for your file and the original passport will be collected from you to transfer your RP. RP Cancellation: Staff leaving Qatar permanently will get a final exit permit and their RP will be cancelled. Once the RP is cancelled, staff will have to leave the country within 7 days. |
